Hello Good Folks!

My name is Walt Chappell.  I am running as a Democrat and have been asked to stand for election to the Kansas House of Representatives in the 91st District by Democrat, Republican and Unaffiliated leaders.  You may read a major endorsement which I receivd from a prominent Republican leader at the bottom of this page.

This area is in Wichita between the Little Arkansas River on the East and I-235 on the West.  The District has a Southern border of Central and goes up to 53rd Street.  (See where you VOTE on the left column!)

As a man with over 30 years of public service and business management experience, I realize how important it is to elect legislators who truly represent the people they serve.   I have already helped write and pass legislation on education, health, judicial and energy issues in 5 States and the US Congress.  So, I understand the importance of building coalitions, listening to all sides, keeping an open mind and working hard to make a positive impact on the problems facing our State and Nation.

I will bring balanced, positive leadership to the 91st District.  Rather than serve the far Right or extreme Left, I am a man who looks for solutions which will serve the greatest number of people instead of just a few, well connected special interests.

I will do my part to work hard each day to represent ALL the people of this District--Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated.   And once elected, I will post pending legislation on my website so your voices and suggestions can be heard--BEFORE I cast my vote.
